What this is
Benefits Guide Builder is a document formatting tool. You enter information about your company's benefit plans; the service lays it out as a branded guide you can download as a PDF and share as a web link. That's the whole service.
What this is not
Benefits Guide Builder is not an insurance broker, a benefits consultant, a law firm, or a benefits administration system. It does not recommend plans, interpret plan terms, calculate benefits, enroll anyone in anything, or produce legally required documents. Nothing in the product or on this site is legal, tax, insurance, or benefits advice.
Your content and your responsibility
The plan details in your guide are yours, typed by you, and rendered as you typed them. You are solely responsible for their accuracy and for any review (legal or otherwise) your organization requires before distributing a guide. Reference figures the product displays, such as IRS contribution limits, are provided for convenience with their source date shown; verify them with your plan administrator before relying on them.
Every generated guide includes this notice, and it stays true even if you don't read it: a guide made here is a summary for employee convenience, not a Summary Plan Description or any other governing document. If a guide conflicts with official plan documents, the plan documents govern.
Required annual notices (Medicare Part D creditable coverage, CHIPRA, HIPAA privacy notices, and the rest) are not generated here. The guide includes a placeholder page telling readers to obtain them from your broker or counsel.
Your account
Sign-in is by emailed link; keep access to your email secure, because anyone who controls it controls your account. You must have the right to use any logo or content you upload. Don't use the service to store information about individual employees; it's built to hold plan-level information only, and we may remove content that plainly isn't that.
Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds
A single-guide purchase unlocks one guide: watermark-free rendering and twelve months of editing from the purchase date. The Guide+ bundle adds a Spanish version and a new-hire one-pager for that same guide. Broker Unlimited is a subscription that applies those benefits to every guide on your account while it's active; cancel any time from the billing portal and it runs until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Refunds: within 14 days of a purchase, ask and you'll get one. No forms, no reasons required. Email support@benefitsguidebuilder.com.
Service and availability
We aim to keep the service up and your guides rendering, and we take nightly backups, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll give paid users at least 60 days' notice to download their PDFs.
Liability cap
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including any consequence of distributing a guide containing information you entered.
Termination
You can delete your account (and everything in it) from the account page at any time. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to breach it, or use it for anything unlawful.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll note the new date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
